Notre Dame

Originally we were only going to spend a little time in Notre Dame before hopping over to a nearby antique fair and then heading to Le Musée d'Orsay. After making it inside however, we nixed Le Orsay to allow time for further exploring. The inside of the cathedral was truly magnificent and huge beyond belief. We arrived during the tail end of Sunday mass and got to hear the old organ play.

After touring the inside of Notre Dame we wandered off to a nearby antique fair we had heard about. The fair was the first time on this trip where my french was truly tested with no one speaking any English. We managed to grab a few nick-nacks as gifts and stopped for a quick bit of caffeine and French pastries before heading back to Notre Dame for the tower tour.

387 spiraling steps later we made it to the top of the south bell tower where we were greeted by a perfect view of the city.
